18 Black at Las Vegas Invitational

We had a great day! little slow in the first match. After this loss, our team played incredibly well and won match #2. We played another fantastic match and by winning that, we ended up with a three way tie. By game percentage we ended the day finishing first in our pool. We are playing in the morning about an hour away, so time to go to the hotel and more tomorrow.

18 Black at Fiesta Classic tournament

18 Black returned late Monday night from Arizona after competing at the Fiesta Classic Tournament in Tempe. Day one, our team won all the matches and that helped with our placement for the rest of the tournament. We played Arizona Sky, 18 Arrowhead, and Intensity 18 Gold.
   Day two, we had good match against Saddleback VBC, but were unable to beat them. Our team focused well, worked hard, and defeated the team from Colorado Springs Altitude. For the third match, we faced a very tough Quest team from Orange County, CA. This team ended up winning the Club Division. Finishing 1-2, placed us in the Silver Division.
   The third day, we faced Arizona Sky again, and losing this match, placed us 7th in Silver. This match was a bit frustrating. Normally, at these types of tournaments, we have very professional officials. The one assigned to this match was not and I won't go into details.
   Overall this was a great experience for our players competing in a well organized tournament. We learned a lot about ourselves and our team. This was a great opportunity for bonding, and the players bonded very well on and off the court. Our daily notes and our pictures will be added soon.
