Susi is the head coach of the West Salem Titans and has been there for 7 seasons.  She competed in high school and for the Pacific University where she was honored by being inducted in their Athletic Hall of Fame for volleyball and track and field.  She is a breast cancer survivor.  She enjoys volleyball and golf.  Her family includes her husband Rich and her two kids Ayle who is on our 12 Red team and her son Andy.  They do have three dogs Jake, Lucy, and Maggie.

Julie graduated from Royal High School in Simi Valley, CA where she competed in volleyball, and track.  After high school she attended college at Biola University, La Mirada, CA competing in volleyball as a 5-1 setter.  She received many honors including 2nd and 3rd team All-American, Freshman Athlete of the Year, and team MVP for 2 years.  After graduating from college, Julie traveled to Hong Kong, China, and Australia with Amateur Sports International.  Over the years, Julie has played many years on grass and indoor as double, quads and co-ed 6’s.   Julie began coaching in college with Newport Beach VBC for 3 years, was assistant coach at Biola University, and was head coach at Tustin High School, Tustin, CA for 1 year before returning to school for her Masters.  Upon moving to Oregon, Julie began coaching for Salem VBC.  She was head coach at North Salem High School 2001-2006.  She has 2 awesome boys.

Megan graduated from Tehachapi High School where she played volleyball all four years.  During her high school season, she also competed for Kern River VBC in Bakersfield, California.  She is a Junior at Corban University and has been the setter for the Warriors.  This is her second season with us and she will be coaches one of our 16U teams.

Kirsten is from Vancouver Washington.  She graduated from Hudson's Bay high school where she played four year for their varsity team.  She played for six years for Cowlitz VBC and Clark County Jrs.  She competed one season for the Western Oregon Wolves.  She is majoring in psychology and occupational therapy.  This is her second season coaching for our club. Katharine is a full time student at Corban University majoring in Psychology. This is also Katharine's second season coaching for us. She has assisted in number of camps while competing for Salem Academy.  She was on their varsity team her junior and senior year in the position of middle and right side hitter.  She was Katie Vanderstoel's teammate during high school and they coached our 12 Red team together last year. Harmik started playing in 1974.  He has coached youth and adult teams since 1983.  In 1984, he was selected by a team from southern California to compete in the Armenian Olympics, winning the championship in the 1985 games.  For a short period, he competed in beach doubles and fours with his former teammates.  Over the years, he has coached and assisted at various college levels.  He relocated to Salem 1994.  In 1996, he coached the Gervais Cougars, making playoffs the first year.  From 1997 to 2000, he coached the North Salem Vikings then went on to assist Dr. Marlene Piper for two seasons at Willamette University.  After
Dr. Piper's retirement, he spent three seasons at Lewis & Clark College in Portland.  During summer months he runs number of camps.  He also teaches at various camps locally and out of state.  Regionally, he served as a head official for four years and is our Regional Impact Instructor.  He was the founder and organizer of the our Regional High Performance Program and in its third year, he sent a team to compete in Slovenia and two other nations.  Nationally, he is an advocate of CAP (Coaching Accreditation Program),  National High Performance, Grassroots, and disabled programs.  Past seasons, he assisted USAV's high performance program as an evaluator and a court coach at the Junior and Youth National Teams tryouts.  He has been our Club Administrator since the re-organization in 1998-99.

Tiffany graduated in 2008 from Santiam Christian High School where she participated in volleyball all four years.  She played Club for Mid-Valley VBC.  She is currently a Junior at Corban University competing as a middle blocker for the Warriors. Ken has over 16 years experience playing volleyball with the Salem Volleyball Association and his church league.  He has coached various adult leagues, and has been involved in youth activities for many years.   Ken occasionally has assisted the coaches at Houck and Parish middle schools, and during the summer, he enjoys helping at the North Salem camps.  The Club has utilized Ken's talents in the 14s through the 18s levels.  Over the past several years, Ken served as a volunteer assistant at North Salem High, most recently as the varsity assistant coach. Benny has been involved with Salem Volleyball Club for 10+ years; serving on the board of directors and coaching 14U teams and SVC’s only boy’s 18U volleyball team.  He’s been playing volleyball since his high school days with his wife, Sandy.  While in college, Ben played on various Men’s AA USVBA Club teams in the Salem, Corvallis, Eugene and Portland areas.   Benny’s daughter, Kyley, currently plays for San Diego State University and has been a starter since her freshman year.  She played on West Salem High School’s varsity for 4 years and was selected on several 1st team League All-Star teams, was  the 2x Conference Player of the Year and recognized on Oregon's All-State teams during her high school career. Kyley began her volleyball career on the 12u team for SVC, where she played her first 7-8 years of SVC Club ball.  Benny’s two boys, Cameron and Chase and they both played on the SVC’s only Boys 18U team, which Benny coached.  Both boys continue to play volleyball at their colleges for recreation and the oldest son, Cameron, had been chosen to be the University of Southern California (USC) Men’s Varsity team’s student athletic trainer two seasons.  Benny’s wife, Sandy, was an OSU 4-year volleyball scholarship athlete and still ranks in several Top 10 categories of the OSU record books.

Tracy is the Northwest representative for Athletes In Action where she is responsible to mentor, train and coach elite volleyball teams to travel and compete internationally on short-term tours.  Before AIA, she coached at Corban University.  During her 17 seasons at Corban, Tracy lead the Warrior volleyball team to an overall record of 238-277, including guiding Corban to a NCCAA national title in 1997, nine conference post-season tournament appearances (eight consecutive), four regional tournament appearances and three NCCAA national tournament appearances.  Tracy has impacted a generation of athletes with her leadership and devotion to volleyball and to its players.  We are excited and confident that our players will benefit a great deal having her lead our top club team. Julie Ann has coached players ranging from 10 years old to high school.  She competed for her high school team and after graduation, in college, she played grass doubles.  Some of her hobbies are down hill skiing, softball, and baking.  Her daughters and her son are playing for our club and she will be assisting Susi Armstrong with the 12 Black team.  with this team.

Katie is attending Corban College and prior to Corban, she attended Salem Academy and played on the Varsity team her last two seasons.  Her team placed 6th place her junior year and 3rd place her senior year. Sam graduated from W. Salem High School in 2009.  She lettered three years in Volleyball.  She received second team honors as a junior and First Team All-League as a senior.  Sam was also named to conference All-Academic team all three years.  Sam played for Salem VBC for two seasons as well as Northwest Jrs. during her junior and senior year.  She is a freshman at Western Oregon University and competes for the Wolves.
